Palm trees are part of the fabric of Perth. They line our streets, sit in our backyards, and are woven into so many memories of growing up here.

When I think of home, I think of the enormous palms that surrounded ours. They were planted by my mum after a disagreement with my dad about whether they should stay. He said he didn’t want them, and Mum told him, “Okay, then you dig them up.” He never did.

Years later, those palms were towering over the house, catching the late afternoon sun and becoming such a familiar part of our everyday landscape.

Neon Palms was painted from that feeling. The warmth of Perth evenings, the glow of golden hour, and those moments when the day starts to slow down but summer still feels like it has more to give.

A familiar symbol of the West Australian coast, transformed through colour, light and a little nostalgia. Bright, playful and full of energy, this piece is about bringing that feeling of home, summer and endless evenings into your space.
